What's it with people born on xx and Japan?

I met an acquaintance yesterday at school.
I hadn't seen her since a friend's wedding, which amounts to a few years.
Happy to find another comrade in my path of learning Japanese :P
However, I'm not quite sure which class she's in though as I didn't manage to catch up with her.

And...
then it pondered over me...
that...
it seems like people who are born on my birthdate
seems to have an infinity with Japanese
lol
She, and another friend, three of us are born on the same day
and all three of us have took/ is taking Japanese.

To quote a friend, "What's it with people born on xx and Japan?"

Interesting..
it must be the stars then.
